SUBMIT TO CHAOS – CHAOS MAGAZINE SUBMISSIONS
Please take the time to read through this entire page. We understand it is a bit lengthy, but it states critical information about our submissions policy and will give you the best chance of us publishing your work.
CHAOS only takes exclusive fashion editorial, beauty stories, and fashion videos. No exceptions. A release is required to be signed by the photographer once the editorial/fashion video is picked up. If your editorial or fashion video has been published in another publication, we will not accept it.
Due to the high volume of submissions, CHAOS Magazine is now an invite-only publication. If you wish to submit to CHAOS Magazine’s print issue (which is also available globally on Issuu), please read this entire page thoroughly before contacting us. Additionally, please note that if you are submitting a webitorial or fashion video, you must provide a privately-hosted link containing your content. We do not accept attached documents due to file constraints. ALL WORK MUST BE EXCLUSIVE AND UNPUBLISHED. You must have a website with your work to present to us, and if we feel your style fits our publication, we will contact you within 1 week.
CHAOS Magazine Submissions: Fashion Editorial + Beauty
In order to be considered, all fashion editorials require 8-10 photos, with minimal repeats. Ideally, 8 different looks would be standard for a 10 page editorial. You have two options to shoot your submission based on the following break down:
12 pages = 6 spreads, 2 horizontal shots, 8 vertical shots.
10 pages = 5 spreads, 2 horizontal shots, 6 vertical shots.
Beauty stories require 5 different photos, with 5 different makeup looks.
Video Submissions: Fashion Videos + Short Films
In order to be considered, videos and films must be 720p or 1080p and under 4 minutes in length, no exceptions. All videos will require the CHAOS logo in the beginning and/or the end. Full team credits, music credits, etc, must be listed at the end of the video. Videos and films must be exclusive to CHAOS and unpublished.

NOTE TO STYLISTS: Please note vintage items are allowed but should be kept to a minimum, if used at all. We will not accept editorials that only feature vintage pieces, or editorials that feature more vintage than current brands/designers. Vintage pieces should only be used to “enhance” a particular vibe you’re going for so the overall editorial should warrant “vintage” if you’re using vintage pieces. CHAOS loves high end designer brands just as much as we love up and coming designers and unknown designers, we love to find that diamond in the rough, so mix it up! Please respect our time and unless your email to us bounces back, do not send a follow up email. Thank you!
PHOTOGRAPHERS PLEASE READ BELOW, VERY IMPORTANT
NOTE TO PHOTOGRAPHERS: Once your work has been picked up you will be requested to send over selective files, credits, and release in a single word document. YOU MUST PUT YOUR NAME (PHOTOGRAPHER’S NAME) AS THE ZIP FOLDER TITLE. EVERYTHING MUST BE TOGETHER IN ONE ZIP FOLDER, I.E. RELEASE, FASHION CREDITS, TEAM CREDITS, AND PHOTOS. If you send your zip folder as “CHAOS Magazine” with no credits it will be rejected without notice, even if we have said we will run them. The reason for this is we download multiple files daily, several at a time, there for when a file is downloaded and named “CHAOS Mag”, “CHAOS MAGAZINE” and does not have a word document inside with credits, there is no possible way for us to find out who the photos belong to. If you feel that you have accidentally submitted work this way please contact us immediately.
